Disciplined Hawai`i Attorneys

HAWAI`I LAWYERS PUBLICLY DISCIPLINED FOR ATTORNEY MISCONDUCT

Before hiring an attorney, it is important to determine if that attorney is presently entitled to practice law.  To find out an attorney’s status, visit Hawai`i State Bar Association and search that particular attorney by name.

Attorneys who have the “License Status” of “Suspended-Discipline”, “Disbarred”, or “Resign-Discipline” after their name are NOT authorized to practice law for disciplinary reasons, and may not practice law until such time as they are restored to active status[1].  For a full list of license status explanations, click here.

PUBLICLY DISCIPLINED ACTIVE HAWAI`I ATTORNEYS

To find out if a Hawai`i-licensed attorney may have been previously subject to public discipline, please contact ODC to obtain a copy of the actual Supreme Court Order, if it is not listed below.

Past discipline is not necessarily an indicator of present ability or conduct.  Disbarred or suspended attorneys who have been reinstated must show that they have been rehabilitated and are now fit to actively re-engage in the practice of law[2].
